As your Character progresses through the game, new opportunities become available and new features are unlocked. Earning Experience allows you to level up your Character, which grants you access to new Weapons, Equipment, Consumables, etc. Valor, earned in PvP battles, gives you Ranks, which unlock unique items – special Character and Dragon Equipment, powerful Consumables, etc. Heroism, earned in Clan Wars and Sea Battles, grants your Character Titles, are required to purchase Regalia (special items that balance your Characteristics).

  

 


Experience

Experience is gained by completing Quests, killing Monsters, and fighting other Players. A new level is gained each time your Characters earns the required amount of Experience. Current Experience and the amount required to level up are shown in the green Experience bar in the upper part of the screen. When the Experience bar fills up, you acquire a level, unlocking new Items, Equipment, and Abilities.

Valor

Valor is an important Characteristic that reflects your experience and success in battling other players. The more combats you participate in and the better you perform in them, the higher the amount of earned Valor.

The easiest way to get Valor is to join a Battleground where all participants receive Experience and Valor based on the amount of damage they deal. Please note that Valor is only awarded for damage dealt to other warriors; damage inflicted on Dragons and summoned creatures is ignored. Winners receive the full Valor reward while the losing side will have to settle for 30%.

It is possible to force an enemy who avoids fighting you into combat by using a Bonecrusher Sphere. Keep in mind, though, that the rulers of our Empires do not approve of abuse of such tactics; there's not much valor in hammering a weaker opponent all the time. To make sure it doesn't happen, the  "10-percent rule" was introduced which dictates any repeated attack by the means of a Bonecrusher Sphere against the same target within 24 hours of the first attack grant the attacker 10% Valor. Only the first attack will earns you the full amount.

However, the 10-percent rule does not apply to massive battles with 7 or more warriors on each side.

Current/required Valor is displayed in the violet bar in the upper part of the screen, right below your Character's Experience Bar. When the Valor Bar fills up, you receive a new Rank. Ranks grant access to better Equipment (available in the Shop):

Heroism

Heroism, unlocked at level 22, is a Characteristic  that shows how successful a player is in Clan Battles and Sea Battles . Please note that only the winning team earns Heroism for the battle. Players of higher levels receive more Heroism than their lower-level teammates.

In Clan Battles (during a Clan War), the biggest amount of Heroism can be earned in 3v3 fights, a smaller amount in 6v6 combats, followed by the 9v9 battles. The smallest amount of Heroism is earned in 1 on 1 duels. Three consecutive wins grant a bonus to the amount of received Heroism. You can learn more about Clan Battles here.

In Sea Battles, the best Gunner, Defender, and Sailor on the winning team receive additional Heroism. The bonus amount depends on their Character level. Check out this link for more information on Sea Battles.

As you Character's Heroism grows, new Titles are unlocked which allow you to purchase the following items in the Shop:
• "violet" Jewelry (purchased for Reals);
• special Regalia (purchased for Gold): Horns and Codes that balance your Characteristics.
