Though many Humans consider themselves the pinnacle of evolution, scientists and experts of Adan bestiary are not that dogmatic. Studying the world of the living, academicians and magisters discover lots of facts and peculiarities that make Human skills and abilities look less impressive and grandiose. As it turns out, many things that are conventionally considered inherent only to Humans, in reality appeared long before they even came to this world. Take slavery for instance.

A big swarm of shersher slavers attacked Faltanar's apiary, crushing hives and guardian bees to dust. Assailants are trying to reach the hive queens. The strategy behind it is pretty simple: abducted bee queens will be taken to shershers' own nests. Some of the bees will follow the familiar scent, continuing the upbringing of new generations in shersher hives. But these new posterity will now serve the needs of the ruthless slavers instead of their own and those of the caring beekeeper. 

To save the apiary, Faltanar is calling upon a brave warrior who will help him fend off the invaders. For if the shershers succeed, building new hives will be the least of Faltanar's problems: he will be forced to search for the stolen queens all over the continent, and Tartu is vast indeed.
