Rage of the Elements is Rampant on Tartu!

An unseen disaster has befallen Adan!

Portals of Elements appear all around the continent of Tartu, devouring fluids of magic. Even the Elder Dragons themselves are affected by this new plight, which distorts magical energies, making the life of spellcasters harder. Everyone can feel the effects of the Rage of the Elements VI: Mana generation is significantly reduced, and Elemental Monsters interfere with all combats, with the exception of Arena of Honor, Seven Bridges of Shadan, Tournament of Honor, King of the Hill, and Sea Battles. If this goes on any longer, all the magic will be absorbed by the strange Portals, leaving our world defenseless against the forces of Shaab.

Fortunately, there is a way to preserve the magical energies of Adan. To do so, complete the 6 Quests of Myratella Kharmai and obtain  Quintars in PvP combats. You can also get these magical particles by fighting Elemental Monsters near the Portals. The best wizards of Tartu will then use Quintars to close the Portals.

Please note that Quintars are only rewarded for slaying Elemental Monsters at Portals that are the objective of Myratella Kharmai's current Quest. Each closed Portal reduces the level of Reage of the Elements, which, in its turn, reduces the number of Elemental Monsters that interfere with your combats.

Event will start July 17 12:00 Server Time. All Portals must be closed by July 22 12:00 Server Time. Players that fail to do so will be penalized with a 24-hour long Elemental Collapse that reduces your Characteristics.

Players of level 9 and higher can participate in this Event. You can learn more about it here.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not this again
Ugh, I was hoping this was just a failed experiment; one not to be repeated. I am glad I am not a hunter. Looks like I won't be doing much for that week. A real waste of experience and no benefit. Without a doubt the worst event I have ever seen in this game.
Admins, it's not too late, don't do it.
I agree with Surturs, first time this was done, chalk it up to a learning experience, but as soon as this starts, all I will be doing is logging in for my bonus and out again.
Surturs Fire,
Well stated. Fully agree. I can't understand why they would do this again. Makes no sense. Do the admins not even listen to the players?
oh god why, i only completed 3 of the 6 quests last time, i was hoping that would be the first and last time they did this event, it means i cant do a eye for a week, also made me fail in the AoH and 7B because of the reduced mana regeneration

And note how it says 'Players of level 9 and higher can participate in this Event.'
i made the 'can' bold because you dont have a choice you have to be involved with it

I think this makes it obvious they do not listen to us.
Surturs Fire Another one who agree's with what you said, esp as a hunter it makes the game inposible.
Appears to me admins are being greedy so and so's employing this event once again to force people to pay into game as it makes it extremely difficult for players to earn in game.
oh , how i love this event. such a great way to make money and Hero reputation. chests give mana elixirs which help in batle, and i think i have devised a strategy for getting quintars.

i think all that sutrus and everyone else are trying to say is take away the debuffes and penalties...... im sure players would be happy to pvp just for the hero rep

i would lol ...we just dont like the fact it's- PvP or dont play at all for the week

i say pvp because it's alot faster and easier then attacking mobs which will make you lose a high amount of pots to kill
ONE positive post so far admins...how's that? This reflects the mood of 90% of the regular players of DE.

This event is by far too costly, timing consuming and totally boring. How about you listen to a vast majority of the regular players that come to play everyday? The event is NOT liked at all.

If you want more proof, make an actual effort to come into the chats and TALK to your players directly. Ask them how they feel about the event directly. The Forums have shown us that the usual 'clear cache and memory' reply simply won't work this time.
I actually like this event, that I don't have to worry about other players' magic. It is just a pure melee battle. It does suck for players without decent gear. The only thing that I am upset about is I didn't have enough time to prepare for this event . Maybe next time, the admins could post it on the DE calender, so we could prepare for this event.
Mystical_Warrior,
It's not the PvP portion that I take issue with. It's the PvE. For those who rely on doing PvE for developing reputations and getting money, It makes that aspect of the game no longer feasible. For example, why would a hunter want to do their traps if they have to fight not only the trapped beast, but also the summons? This would make no economic sense. So, for the next several days, traps will sit empty.
Forget doing essence farming too, with the possible exception of death essences.
Many aspects of the game are penalized and burdened to the point of no longer being viable. Which begs the question of "why," why would the game admins do this?
This week-long event prevents PvE money making, so that leaves reals, and professions. It will be difficult for anyone to make enough coin through professions to allow them to buy enough potions, buffs, etc.. to complete this quest, that leaves reals. Hmm, I think I have determined that the primary reason for this Event is to encourage reals purchases. This event certainly isn't something that the vast majority of the DE players want.
That's my opinion, it may be wrong, but it makes sense to me.

I agree that for hunters it is frustrating that they must battle the trapped beast and another 1k+ hp mob, which isn't profitable. However, after a player completes all of the elemental portal quests, the mobs disappear, so hunters don't have to deal with them anymore. So, there is a solution to this problem. Imo, we didn't have enough time to prepare for this and maybe next the admins will give us ample time/notice to prepare for this event.
...they are watching...

lol
Yeah! I'm running out of orbs and potions doing this quest.
