Rage of the Elements is Rampant on Tartu! - some comments

I do not know how other players feel about this, but I personally think that this event is not that well done and will need some revisions and adjustments.

Firstly, it does take a lot of damage to get the number of Quintars to progress to the next quest, which makes it very expensive quest indeed. And there is no option just not to do the quest, for 4 days plus then you get another day of punishment, if you do not manage to finish it. This is the most strick event quest I had seen.

Secondly, it is basically not possible to do anything but this quest, as you get the extra creature joining your fight, meaning it costs far more to win the fight. This basically means that it is not possible to gain money to do the event quest, unless maybe from professions (apart from hunters). Hunters cannot even really do their profession, as the special event creature jumps in their fights too. Making it far more expensive.

I personally think that this quest does need revision. And I am wondering how other feel about this.

My opinion is pretty similar, I would have liked the option to opt out of this quest, I don't have the gold to take part, nor do I have the means to make the gold in any quick way. Making of money would be slow, and somewhat moot with the extra mobs joining. So for those of us that don't want to, or don't have the funds to, this quest just eliminates us playing for 5 days which is really not something you should aim to do to your players.
yeah, i agree that player's shouldn't be forced to participate in events and what makes it worst is that we get a penalty if we decide not to do the event anyway :/
I would like to echo the sentiments from Ageolite. As a hunter, my profession is uneconomical to pursue during this period. Furthermore, as a hunter, I believe that those of us who have chosen hunter are at a huge disadvantage since the other professions do not result in fights with these elemental monsters.
Trap battles should also be excluded from elementals, or fishers, miners, and farmers should have to battle them when the claim their production.
This quest is sparkly flowers. I mean, can't do ess farming, unless you spend more gold than what you gonna get out of selling them. Hahaha, got peabrains for admins. ">">
Yea it's pretty annoying, but I user hours of prosperity to give me some extra coin for the kills. Granted, I could get similar coinage for knocking out my experience protector quest and use less pots, but I'm just trying to make some good out of a lame situation. :)
I think this is kind of a bad idea to come up with. It has made doing pretty much anything impractical and way more costly than usual. Added to this the fact that if you don't participate you get punished. Not exactly a smart move devs. Alienating your players more than usual. I personally am not going to be playing for the next 5 days because of this, log in to collect daily bonus is about it I think.

None of the big name MMO's would ever even consider doing something which is going to punish players for non-participation and potentially alienate ALOT of people.

Watch your choice of words please.
Agree with all above. Pretty stupid implementation of an event. I cannot afford it, and I'm certainly NOT going to buy reals to get through this...
agreed. all those above me summed up my thoughts on this quite nicely. I do not like events you are forced to do or suffer if you don't.
agreed worst event quest ever...for any level player
Remember that lower level players can always do the quest through arenas where you get double out of them - valor , quest , extra items as well as chests are transferable and you can sell them.
i agree with everyone on here this is a sparkly sprinkles and should NEVER be done again.

Except that costs coin which most low lv's don't have much of.
Surturs Fire,

And by attack monsters/doing quests you still need to use potions / elixirs even if event monsters would not interfere with battles.

lol nowhere near what they require with event monsters. event monsters are not cost effective to have to kill.
you spend more on pots and orbs than you would doing 5 DoT's back to back. and if you dont do the quest then you are penalized for it?
Paimon666,

If you do not wish to do the quest the debuff will last only 24 hours.
but thats the thing. why is it a do it or you have a debuff placed on you? theres no choice in that one because some people can only play at certain times and well if you have a debuff might as well lose a war or something atleast that you have a say so in.
also the event cripples you the whole time is active so if you don't want to do quest you are offline a week basically. most people gone that long will find a new game to play instead.
Paimon666,

It wouldn't be any "fun" if everything would be easy would it?

Surturs Fire,

Everyone is in same situation some people who don't want to do quest are still able to battlegrounds, only thing that's harder during events is farming essences / killing monsters for few days.

Yes, but you cannot play for 5 days. I actually checked and the effect on magic will be removed on Wednesday, so technically lot of us will not be able to play until Wednesday, if we cannot affod to do the quest. Maybe it is easier for the lower levels, but the quest is very pricey for higher levels. I heard from several of my friends that they just do not agree with how this is done.

I am sorry, but I do not find this this a very good idea quest. I think something like this should be optional. At the moment it will force some people out of the game for the duration of the quest and you are potentially risking loosing players if you do this regularly.
