ALT accounts

I have a strong belief that clan leaders should be privy to a list in regards to each character and there alternate accounts. The introduction of this has made it possible for people to maintain numerous characters within each faction giving them an extra edge that makes it unfair. ESPECIALLY if these characters reside in different clans... if your going to allow people to have multiple accounts, clan leaders have the rights to this information

I agree
i completely agree knowing could help solve a lot of future problems knowing where ones alliances stand
example : knowing where ones alliances stand if they were to be in a future war with a clan their alt/ main is in and so on
I agree, bit wary about letting people in (once the seal of defeat is gone of course) if we don't know who they are.
totally and completely agree
Wishing this could be anonymous, but there are two characters who are in clans, who are operated from this pc.
Both clan leaders are aware of this.
It felt unethical to me for the leaders not to be aware.

kudos ta you :)
i simply feel that there are MANY others in this game, however, who dont have the decency to do so
agreed. i believe all clan leaders should know who is who as far as alts. we dont want to bring one in to our clan and see that things are coming up missing when we know they were there before and then later find out it was someone that was using us for their own main acct gains.
What about people who make alt accounts to get away from enemies etc... blow their cover by allowing clan leaders to see who is who and there is nowhere for little piggies to hide">... Works for me but I can see how it could be problematic for some.
fully agree with it who knows if we are harboring people that are giving information to other clans ect
Okay here's an idea, bearing in mind sadistic saints point:

How about we don't automatically get a list of alts, but we just do IF they join our clan. A notification comes to the leader or somewhere in the clan info (similar to the chest) saying "this person joined, other chars are a, b, c" and this would be updated if more characters were created.

I'm not sure how easy that would be for the devs to add in, but I'm sure it's possible if they could spare the time.

That way, as sadistic pointed out, people are free to hide from enemies, and if they wish characters to remain secret can just not join a certain clan or any clan, and once they leave the clan any future chars they make we will not be aware of.

I hope that makes some sense, I'm a little sleepy right now
of course saint would be looking to hunt down lower levels bahaha but yes the other given reasons are agreeable
even better idea podeth :) great minds think alike
Paimon666,

You mean stealing? Like stealing from the clan chest? Raw materials for crafting? That is all I can think of that you might mean.
that kind of person would also have problems that showed up in all of their accounts, wouldn't they?
Podeth,

-Crixus-,
Why ALL of the alts? Why not just the alts that are clanned. All of the alts seems to be an invasion of privacy.
What can they do as unclanned players that any other unclanned player can not do?

I think that is taking it too far. Only clanned players should be 'revealed' if such a rule is put in place.
I guess no one can be trusted in the game. But that is why many clans have councils who are privy to information they withhold from players ]that they do not value nor trust.

This really hits a nerve with me, the total lack of trust, having omce been in a clan that did not trust me nor value me. And I was totally loyal and obedient even though I did not embrace all of the clan practices. That is what loyalty is. /well, a part of it.

well as i said, i think podeth hit the nail on the head with it being only for people who are wanting to join a clan.... not trying to make it a more trouble issue, however, having personally dealt with players who take advantage of this feature, I feel something needs to be done...
I have no interest in knowing who every ones alt's are, but i would like to know if someone more than one in our clan, if they they have toons in other clans or factions..wars alone this could create a major conflict of interest. Plus i do not want to have the risk that a messed up trade deal is gonna bounce back and slap me in the butt. I get that a lot of bored 50's have knew ones just so they have something to do and the peace and quiet of the unknown has to be relaxing..so keep their secret..just wanna know what going on in our house.
-Crixus-,
only the clanned avatars should be reported. period. privacy matters, even if some are hiding like .... well, it was said earluer
Yeah Astriid, that's what I meant really, I was trying to dispel the original suggestion of we just get a list regardless as I did feel this was an invasion of privacy, to change it so we only get told if it affects us, and of course people's unclanned characters would not affect us in the context we're talking, so I'm sure you're right about it only being clanned people we're aware of.
May be a useful feature to have a application system for clan in where a invite isn't required but a individuals apply's to a clan and if so information such as their possible alt's can be viewed in private by clan leader or those with certain permissions
As mentioned before, clan leaders can add me in skype. They can afterwards inquire if a certain character has more than one character in their clan.
