Amidst the endless plains and foothills of Vaalor's territories lies the Eastern Graveyard. The neighboring village has been long abandoned, ever since the day a passing wizard decided to help the locals with their water supply. Something went wrong, and a treacherous slough appeared under the houses, growing larger with each passing moment. The villagers had no other choice but to leave their homes for a safer place.
The Graveyard itself was untouched by the slough and to this very day, funeral processions can still be seen in this area. But since the respectable citizens of Vaalor have fled this place, only nameless vagabonds and criminals are laid to rest here.
But even their funerals are becoming a rare sight in this place. Inhabitants of neighboring hamlets tell stories about the disappearance of careless travelers and wandering merchants who decided to take a shortcut through the Graveyard. Their fate almost always remains a mystery. One can only speculate about whether they fell prey to greedy robbers, terrible monsters or undead monsters that lurk nearby.
