Put a Price on His Head!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, We need to be able to place a bounty on a players head! The list is posted at X-roads for all to see. The first person to successfully bonecrush the target gets to keep all the bounty. The bounty should last for 1 week and if nobody successfully bonecrushes the target then the target gets to keep the bounty! Would add another fun element to the game/cause a little more drama ;). A limit wouldn’t be a bad idea so a player can only have a bounty placed on them once a month or something like that.

In all seriousness, look at this scenario.
Bob places a bounty of 10 gold on Joe's head. Bob's really mad.
Joe hides in square for 1 week, collecting daily bonuses and screwing around on an alt.
Joe keeps the 10 gold.
Bob is broke and really, really pissed.
Easily abused system.

For example, if there are some really strong players who keep crushing you during dot then you place a bounty on their heads and you have a chance of winning dot now because they are all hiding.
It seems fun but it just is too easily abused. The people who dominate the game will be the people who are willing to spend money hitlisting everyone.
Also, even if you made them hide for a week, you've still given them money.
Last dot, Khojem was crushing us all but if I put a bounty on him i'm pretty sure he'd place one on me and have a go at me as well.
I can imagine having fun with this system but I can imagine abuse too. In conclusion, I don't think this is a good idea.
Your argument makes no sense? what abuses are you talking about? them hiding is a risk you take when you place the bounty, the "target" as saint calls it can't have all the risk... at least they get a pay off for hiding for a week (they wont be able to farm or do HOP, or anything else).
Also, you could make the bounty anonymous so the person wouldn't be able to seek revenge (just like a hex).
I think it's a great idea, especially beneficial for lower level players or players not in a clan. Usually us low levels are completely defenceless against the higher levels, at least this would give us a way to exact a little vengeance or deter higher levels from the people who "dominate this game" as you call it.
In Conclusion, I think this is a sweet idea.
High levels can easily reciprocate by bounty heading back. Besides, they will always have more gold to launch repeated assaults. Also, they will be able to mobilize a clan assault on people who piss them off. I speak from experience.
It might seem helpful for lower levels but it still allows higher levels to maintain their status quo and only contributes to more drama and hate in the game. Dragon Eternity stands out as a game that allows massive amounts of player to player griefing; we don't need anymore.
The feature already exists; lower levels can pay a higher level to bc someone. We don't need to automate this and formalize it.
In conclusion, this is not a good idea.
Do you ever get sick of being wrong? if you make the bounty anonymous your fear of reprisal goes away (read the post next time) This game is built around conflict that's why people play isn't it? sounds to me like you're just bitter because you made the wrong chapps angry at you

What I'm saying is who cares if it's anonymous? It's still the same thing as hexing, but to a greater degree. And if I got pissed at deathnight69 for doing god knows what, who the hell would bc him?
The higher levels who get hitlisted would rarely get bced, and just keep receiving the bounty money. THe status quo remains the same, and the end result is more hate.
Just cause it's a game based on conflict, doesn't mean mindless conflict. QUite frankly, BCIng is enough griefing needed on one server, wraiting is even worse. This bounty thing is gonna make things a lot more crappy.
We'll have noobs bountying random people, then a free for all at the xroads. No one will feel safe.

but this idea "persuades" more players to start working on their bc rep..... i mean since it's a very expensive rep to make players in the game aren't really motived to spend on it unless they are a big spender, the fact that players can get paid to bc is encouragement to build that rep.
As for the abusing that that could be sorted by having they bounty last like 24hrs and then that player would get 1 or 2 weeks protection from having a bounty placed on them .
