All senior players (well not all but some...)

Today "> I tried sea battle for the first time and was subjected to an unlimited amount of criticism- nay bullying - by a lvl 70 player.I asked for help many times but all I got was a barrage of useless and condescending information like: "You should have asked before you started" etc... Don't you senior players have any responsibility to pass on your experience and guide to lower level players in the game? I read all about sea battles but had not experienced one, so a little bit of advice was asked for but not given. Give us a chance - you were once where we are and I am sure you would have appreciated the help. (just to say that one senior outside of battle DID offer help so thank you to u - u know who u are).

yeh - know what u mean - some lvl 70s think they own the game. I an lvl 22 and got bC'd by a lvl 70 for no reason
me too - should be a rule about that
lol yeh - but that's not the point - I was a noob and wanted some help - not a lot of bull
with u bro
have fun dont listen to anyone its a game some people here think they can make someone to afraid to play i make fun with them evry day for almost 2 years that i play
I am sorry you have experienced this. I am one of those lucky people who had good people around me who have taught me all along the way. Unfortunately there are bullies in every aspect of the world, including in games (i see the black curse), just dont let it stop you enjoying and having some fun
Lucy Lastic,

You have to expect that if you don't come prepared and/or do bad during SB. You need to buff up and most players, especially level 70s spend a lot of money to do good in them, they don't want to lose because of one person. *MOST* people would be fine with Mount and Balm, but *SOME* will get annoyed if you do not have -

• Level 25 (with {RANK 5} - Soldier of the First Blood and Military Belt - Military Belt (Green) or Roomy Military Belt - Roomy Military Belt (Blue)

• You will also need a MOUNT which becomes available at level 22 with 1000 Protector Reputation

• Temple Buffs - Insignia of Greatness I - Insignia of Greatness I. Insignia of Reflection I - Insignia of Reflection I (Optional)

• Balms - Simple Balm of Life - Simple Balm of Life or Simple Balm of Strength - Simple Balm of strength.

• Food - Filling Soup - Filling Soup etc.

As you can see by your black curse, some players will NOT be happy if you do not have those.

Good Luck,
Vec
I am NOT saying I support this, myself, I hate the fact that there are rules like this in place, but just telling you what some people expect of you, but of course, there will always be people like Bilaras and Truffles who would be okay with it.
Lucy Lastic,
I wouldn't lose too much sleep over a game. A lvl 70 bced me with 4 blacks and 7 reds while on my hop because I undercut him on selling fire by a couple silver. I could be super upset, but come on, why be that way? I work in an emergency room, and there is far worse things to see or lose sleep over. Funnily, the next days someone was selling it for 70 silver per 100, undercutting everybody by 20s. If you let small things get to you, you'll never be able to enjoy the game. If you found sea battle unpleasant, then you don't have to repeat the experience. But, you can take it as gaining an understanding at least of how that battleground works. It's just about buffing up with balm, food, and mount or extra buffs if you have it and doing your best. If others are giving you a huge amount of grief, well I would say to that, unlike the rest of my body, my wallet is skinny. And, hop takes freaking forever, even though the gold is worth it. There was a time when I took sea battle very seriously and was mean about people not mounting or joining without a belt. But, I take it that they probably don't know, because they hadn't done it before. Better to inform them and tell them the best ways to get more damage than be the blaring buttface I was being, which would probably cause them to log off and do even worse in sea battle than they woul">d've done. I hope your next sea battle will be a much better experience and I think taking some of Vector's tips is a good idea. It's not just about pleasing people, but getting more damage in is advantageous because it will gain you more heroism. Heroism can give you better jewelry... so win-win! Good luck! ">
I for one am fine with you asking about sea. Just dont do it while we are in sea. If you are in queue, you should be ready to fight. Too many are not fighting. Based on current sea, those specs are low. I dont see sadar going in sea with those low of states, so vaalor needs to up their game or sadar will keep racing ahead.
Lucy Lastic,
1st- Did you read dragoneternity.com/library/battle/?part=blog5 before joining? It's always a good idea to read the instructions before joining a queue. That is a request from all your teammates and opponents please :)
2nd - if you find yourself in a battleground and 'lost', use Main please, not pm. Anyone in the battleground should be able to help you. And if noone helps, Kill Stuff anyway! Understand that the first part of SB is a race and every reply sent to you is a chance we might not get heroism from a Sea Wolf.
3rd - Be Careful WHO you ask for advice from. Your best bet is always main, leaving people who Want to help you to help when They Want. Demanding advice during a rushed battle can be very frustrating and annoying to the bigs you are pm'ing. Respect the fact that some people are not here to teach you and have no interest in telling you how to play your game. That is not the case with me personally, I like teaching new folks, but it is NOT "senior players have any responsibility to pass on your experience". If you want advice from someone, I would recommend talking to people in your own bracket first who are in better clans (or, in Vector's case, who have been in many clans), talking on main, and of course, posting here in forum. Don't harass the bigger, richer, players and expect them to hold your hand in a sea battle, they have every right to ignore you and then bc you, unfortunately. It's mean and doesn't help the game, but it is not against any rules.

Best of luck, I do hope you'll be in many more sea battles ">
so... who was complaining vaalor treat their small levels badly, here you go again, small sadar being bullied.
big bad Sadar enjoying the irony?
Lucy Lastic,
May I ask who BC'd you? I think I know who, doesn't hurt to be sure though.
Lucy Lastic,

Players on both sides, Vaalor and Sadar, typically put a lot of effort and money into Sea Battles. Players tend to go all out with their buffs, summons, using replicants and omnimachs, etc... The higher levels tend to pour a lot of resources into the fight.

The irritation comes from all that hard work, gold and reals with hopes of a win resulting in a loss when a player or even multiple players come into the battle without the same, maximum effort. That's not to say that if you are a lower level and don't have all the idols, replicants and so on, that you will be a target of a bc after the battle, but it's expected that you will be fully buffed to the degree you can be. If you are behind on gear and don't have a mount, refuse to summon your dragon and your skellies, it would appear that you aren't trying your best and basically leeching off the hard work of the higher levels and putting the outcome in jeopardy. (I don't know what happened in your particular case, that was a general statement)

You could compare it to Dual of Truth, having someone join your battle using lessor pots and not using buffs.

If you have any questions about Sea Battles, feel free to pm me and I'll be happy to offer any advice I can, but looking at your gear, I'd recommend some trips to the caves to upgrade your jewelry and your gloves.

Good luck and enjoy.
Lots of new people also don't realize, If you weren't in the fight, we'd get a Replicant of the captain. So, you only do 5-10k damage, but replicants can easily do 20-40k damage (average, we've all seen more).

Yes, I wish people would tell each other, Nicely, how SB works. But even I have been guilty of yelling at someone for joining unprepared (Sorry Kagon! Glad you came back for more ">). I have not BC'd someone for it, but have stood by and watched other Vaalor bc for it. I myself was threatened with BCs when I first started going and had to "Ask Permission" to join again. I don't agree with punishing new players for joining unprepared, the first time, but if you have been given advice and ignored it, I would suspect you will soon be cursed, no matter what side you are on. ">">">
Here it is
I can understand why you get a *you should have ask before it started*
People spend on buffs and try to get most out of it.
At first stage...I will not talk until I killed seawolf or I know all molves are gone.
Then at shoot out if I am captain I would like to pay attention at it so I would have someone telling as you called a noob on how to follow my orders. Well it is annoying knowing someone not following and trust me captain know if someone not listening^^

Best is to ask before you even join sea battle so at least you know what you are doing .Its doesn't matter what your fliction is I have help vaalorian get thru this before and wouldn't mind to give some advise as long as I am not in the battle if in middle of something.

Well that's my thought as a lvl 70 but I am not a senior player lol if that would help .
do senior players get the 70k rolling walker with upgraded tennis balls? "> sorry...I just couldn't help it.

You already got tons of great advice from many seasoned players - nothing else to say ;)
Have a look at the small sadars who tried SB today in heroism day. See the black curses the big sadars gave them. The innocent sadar who always blame others for not playing as they want to.
