An Empire's capital, its ever-beating heart, always attracts people of all walks of life. Farmers dream of selling their hard-earned harvests with a profit, artisans agree to work all day out of a tiny workshop just to land a contract with a wealthy customer, mercenaries compete for lucrative contracts while nobles look for pleasures and novelties that will spice up their jaded existence.
Not everyone can afford living in the capital. Take Barim Lisar. He couldn't afford it but he still settled here. What he lacked in money he more than made up for in faith and resolve. Barim built himself a small hut and started making suits of armor. It wasn't long before he became one of the most sough-for armor makers in the city. Soon he had enough money to move into the capital and rent a shop on the Masters Street. However, he realized that life in the capital wasn't what he really wanted. Barim moved back to the outskirts where he built himself a house that also happens to be his workshop.
Of course, living outside city walls is dangerous, but Barim isn't someone who gets scared easily. Working as a blacksmith has made him tougher and more confident. And should Grohls or Valternas disturb his peace, he always has a sword or a hammer nearby to teach them a lesson. The only thing that makes Barim's life harder are ghosts that began appearing in the area. Physical strength isn't enough to deal with such an enemy, and unfortunately, Barim doesn't know any magic. Fortunately for him, there are more than enough magic practitioners in the capital that are willing to offer their services to the skilled craftsman.
