Make it worthwhile for a clan and its members to fight a war and lose rather than surrendering

People shouldn't lose item durability due to a clan standard attack, only in mine fights.

Why?

People can get attacked anywhere, even in square. They will keep getting heroism farmed, and if they don't have a clan hall their only choice is to go offline...which is super lame.

Also, if someone has full bag capacity and no teleport stone, they can keep getting farmed at square. If people suffer no durability loss from getting clan standard attacked, it would make clan wars actually enjoyable for the losing side.

nah...if it's a serious war you want your enemy to waste their gold on armor repairs :P

P.s clan war's weren't meant to be enjoyable in the first place.. it's war ">^^ otherwise it would of been called a clan sparing session or something like that :P

But i hear admins are also making "friendly war" option or something like that... so i guess your idea could fit into there i think.

1. It's a video game, so we don't wanna nuke each other. If it was war half of the clanmates would die from starvation and disease while 3 members fight.

2. Losing 15/50/75g is bad enough lol

But I like this friendly war idea, I think it will tie in with what many have suggested.

I think the real point here though, is this is actually a 'GAME' , and you want players to enjoy playing or at least get some encouragement when they lose. That's unless the programmers' are also concerned over limiting participation due to server capacity.

You are right though about the curses and such like, but I just thought this just added spice and complexity to the game. The more aspects you have the less likely you are to have characters having or obtaining everything, so you have to make choices. Choices mean variety in the game and can help to level the playing field with stronger players on occasions.

This is obviously just my opinion, and Zoro I know you have played this game very well so your comments are respected.

Actually the point is that a lot of wars don't happen because clans surrender so a way to encourage clans to fight would be nice.

My thoughts are maybe:

1. If a clan fights they only pay a percentage of the money for losing, perhaps the same percentage they lose by in the number of crystals.
or
2. The members of both clans that actually take part in the get a bonus above normal dependent on what they do.
or
3. At least have no damage to equipment so it is cheaper to take part.

Other suggestions/thoughts/ideas welcome.

I think that the clan war should be a bit more like DOT (Duel of Truth) , ie

1) As Marcus suggested no damage to armour I agree
2) 70% of Valour for losing side in clan standard battle
3) Plus 70% of heroism and 70% Hero of Empire rating again in clan standard battles

Also like Sea Battles

4) Allow bonecrushing so people can get the rep but don't inflict the curses on the opposition.

I know this last one mean's that there wouldn't be a take up of the immunity spell but the idea is to get more people active in wars, thus:

a) Creating more rep for both clans
b) Means that even if a clan knows they are going to lose it still worth actually fighting
c) More rep, valour, herosim does mean more chances to spend money in the game which I would think the programmers would like.(Money that would have been spent on immunity spell can be use to fight battles for more rep to both clans)


Lastly and also an incentive to encourage clan wars, and characters participating in clans is :

i) Losing clan can get bonuses if they either mine enough crystals or participate in enough clan standard battles
bonus could be; only half of payment is made to the winning side, (Their members do get all that extra rep)
or relics/ or special weapons(with time limit) to help with future battles (for level 2+ clans with clan chests)

However, heroism should only go to winning side simply to preserve its value. Everyone can get crystals easily lol

completely agree with the more choice/variety thing. was just saying war's should still have penalties as it is "war"

i agree with the 70% valor and heroism for losing as no one would like going in fights knowing that is they lose they earn nothing from it, so they'd rather not waste their money on buffs or not even fight.

it's the no dmg to armour/ no bc curses i dont like, that way there would be no point in having serious wars at all i mean you'd have barely done anything to them...... no satisfaction

however if admins made another type of war "friendly war" then i would have to completely agree with what you said ">

Admins aren't gonna make a friendly war option, let's face it. When the level cap is raised after 2 more years (hopefully) they're gonna get a lot more vodka $$
....... not very hard to make 15g........ think just one lv50 could manage that with hop and eye and still have gold to spare from it.... i mean i make around 12/13g HoP if i make full use of it......

and no matter how much players complain about the game .... most of the ones who do still come straight back to it... so when they say something like " you admins gonna make players leave the game at this rate" and are still playing everyday or " I spend my reals on the game so you help make sever better" ect and are still paying a fair amount of reals ingame even though you see no sign of sever being improved....... seems kinda dumb to me since players just whine about it and dont take action -_- in my eyes it's back up your bark with bite or just dont bark at all cuz it'll just make that player look stupid.. just my op lol

to "some" extent i think it is justified but i do also think they could be doing a bit more about it.

BTW we to stop arguing over these things now need to give others a chance to comement too lmao XD
