You can make boots out of 20 dust but it takes 180 items to make a necklace?
The chest armor is made from wings and mushrooms?!? Mushrooms??
I'm 45 and I love crafting but..
All the newbie armor should have skin/leather as a basic resource
Then add shells or essence as needed
But armor goes like this
Hands
Shoulders
Feet
Head
Legs
Body

Jewelry is different

So revamp the armor crafting
