valor?

I worked my way up to the 1800 valor points and am now trying to work my way up to the 9000 valor points. My question is... was my valor supposed to start over at 0 points(as it did) or continue from 1801 valor points. I feel that I have already earned the first 1800, why should I have to earn it again.

Yes it was supposed to. You earnt 1800 valor and got awarded a rank for it. The 9000 is your progress to the next rank. If you wish to see your total valor you can either work it out yourself by adding it up or get onto the leader board on the main page.
