you need to increase the amount of money mobs drop because for alot of people they barely break even if lucky on the cost for potions to fight mobs thier lvl or even a tad lower. i know for me it wont be long till i'm gone unless i can find a way in game to afford to run the events again.
The new professions can be a great money booster. Once you get into the system you can live off the profits of auctions if done correctly.

Eyes cost 60 silver, don't forget that. It takes days, if not weeks, to get that kind of money without marketing something else beforehand. Even then getting your things to sell while still turning a profit is a challenge.
EDIT: This is well known amongst those who are below level 15. The little boot trick just doesn't work anymore.

Although professions and Eyes are a way to obtain more money, there is a finite demand for such items and are often not a reliable source of income. Low level mobs should drop a little more cash. Alternatively, if you hunt a single mob over and over they could gradually give more and more money as you go (with a roof, of course.)
