best way is to get good at a profession eg be a good hunter farmer fisherman or prospector there is also your lar dian quest at sqaure where u get more money drop of monsters this and luck helps u may get rare drops doing these which helps with the amount of gold u make

To elaborate,
There are 4 main ways to make money.
Like Shotton said, you can fight mobs, and at level 16, sacrifice some resources to get a spell that doubles money drops. However, this gets you way too much XP and you should NEVER overdo this (unless you're valor capped or lv 50).
Professions too. Gathering professions get you a little exp but they always make you a profit. Rarely, you can get a rare collection item too ;)
Crafting. You take resources and craft things like orbs, potions, or even marks and sell for a profit. Alchemist, Jeweler, Cook, Inscriptor. The no EXP gain here makes this a prime choice for valor chasers.
Finally, the most unreliable but best way to make money is by reselling things. If you're smart and plucky, you will find good deals and resell at the right time and price and make profits. Invest in gear, resources, sparks. No EXP from this (obviously) and sometimes huge profits make this a prime choice among some.
There is a 5th way: buy reals (but that's obvious lol)
