Lux's Rant on Unstable Auction Prices and Dragon Gauntlets.
I have noticed that prices in the AH have been getting kind of crazy. When I reached level 21 over a month ago, I started looking for some Gauntlets of Floating Eagle for Judgement. I still don't have any even though I have been checking AH almost every time I get on. Sure, they are there, but I would rather wait until Judgement is level 34 to get the next gauntlets then pay EIGHT GOLD (I am sure that people would agree.) . I have not been able to find any witcher gauntlets for less then 4-5 gold, meanwhile the prices of the other classes' gauntlets have been much lower (about 1.5-3).(wtf)
There are also people who always put things up for an extremely high price (over 2-3 times the average AH price, sometimes more) and expect them to sell. They won't. And it has no real point. The new rules do not allow you to use AH as storage. And I am pretty sure that the trade rules say that if you sell something over 30% of market price you get shackled. Let alone 300%. Also some jewelry has giant price fluctuations. 50s one day, 1g the next, 30s the day after that, and so on. It leaves everybody horribly confused.
So to sum it all up, if you have the only item of it's kind in the AH, don't put it up for an absurd price. People won't buy it if they have any idea of what they normally sell for. And that especially applies to Golden Eagle Gauntlets. Judgement is getting impatient and has a short temper.

PSS: FINALLY got the stupid gauntlets!!!
One point is demand certainly increased with all the new alts needing gear/dragon gear and sparks, however with those alts surely more drops would be happening to help counter balance it to some point. However the problem I believe is mainly due to re-sellers of which there is many in this game, buying cheap and posting at stupendously high prices, this is then reinforced by new players who don't know the prices seeing these lots in auction and assuming that is the correct price and then posting their on lots at similar prices. Oh and good luck on the gauntlets, someone with sense will eventually have them. (I hope)
Those resellers are a pain sometimes. To be honest, I would like to bonecrush some of them but they are mostly too strong for me. But they have it coming one day....
lux you know you can hire other players to hit other players at a cost (normally the cost of bc sphere, sometimes you get to pic which, and 1-2g)
I know. But I want to get them myself. lol
