What is the point in these - great way to make players quit the game, especially in a game that the social aspect is the main reason some would play for.

a 1 year silence is lvl 1 all the way to lvl 50 without communicating

that's kinda true if i couldn't speak to people in this game i think i'd be somewhere else -_-' i mean personally for me i think the best part about this game is talking to all the friends i made on here everyones different and you learn something from it - i leant guten tag and stuff like that lol but yh back to the point 1yr silence is really harsh and it really encourages players to leave the game..... i mean you can even chat when shackled lmao and that's meant to be the worst punishment there is">

a 1 year silence is something that happens to someone that day in and day out does things to be silenced. personally I'd rather not hear those people speaking lol.

Surturs Fire, that is kind of a good point lmao">

The simple solution is not to get the silence in the first place. I'd rather the people that do and who are constantly being silenced did just quit.

no point off it

There is a point of this. It will make people not want to break the rules of the game, it they want to stay active in the chat.

lol do not get silenced several times a day you won't have to worry about a 1 year silence, if they earned a 1 year silence i say let them quit before they make others quit from them being trolls ">">

Hey there,
nobody gets a curse of silence for one year for no matter. To get that kind of punishment you would have to act against the rules constantly and on purpose. Of course the main function of a chat is communication, but like in real life there is a certain code of behaviour you have to follow when talking to other people. I am not sure (and I do not hope :) ) players who get a curse for one year would behave in public like they do in game. So just follow the chatrules and everything will be fine.

1 question though - Muscat breaks the rules several times - i seen for about a week he got 1day silences back to back but a clannie gets a 1year silence (now removed) for a some 15min rule breaks

-Destrudo,
Appears the severity of the punishment can depend on the mod and the relationship they have with the individual breaking the rules which is wrong and shouldn't happen.

-Destrudo,
You are of course lying. Said clanmate had 26 silences in the past 3 months, and 58 in the past 6 months. In the days leading to his 1 year silence, he would enter the game right after his 1 day silence expired and broke the rules.
Really, why would guards have to bother silencing him every day, if he just logged on and broke the rules?
He has been given a second chance, but you are not acting out on his best interest here.
