Sparks of Inception as well as other sparks are random drops from all monsters of Adan. To use spells you first must have equipped one of the class amulets. You are then given 3 basic spells of your class. Every fight you will start with 0 mana and it will build up during the fight depending on which stance you use. Once you have necessary mana for spell you will be able to use it from spell bar.

Thank you, any idea as to why at level 7 with an amulet my spells do show up in battle?

Have you completed the quest which tells you about your class spells? Also spell icons should be showing up on battle screen on right next to your mana bar. If they are not available there could you make a screenshot of your fight screen and post it here?

To take a screenshot:
Press the Print Screen (PrtScr) button to take a screen capture of your entire screen. Once you have taken the screenshot, open Paint or any other picture editor, and paste your screenshot into a new image (by pressing ctrl+v). Save the screenshot and upload it. Once its done post a link in this thread.
