Helping others

What do'es it take to get help fighting when you need help ? I have tried several times to get help fighting, and always wound up fighting by myself. Please tell me how to get help fighting these losing battles. Need to get these quests done.

well if you are doing quests most of the times it will not let others join in the battle most quests require you to fight alone or with your dragon so having others join in will never happen to quests

Nottoow,

Once you start a battle , to see if others can join or not look exactly under the timer button. If it says 'Combat is Closed' other cannot join to help this fight. If there is no such text under timer then others can join the fight to help.

i have entered a fight where there is no "combat closed" , but i still cant have a freind join...why?
