I've taken the hide to him, closed the box, but that's all that's happening, the quest isn't ending??? have I forgotten something?

It took me time to figure it out myself, just below the dialogue box will be a response(s) choice options. To activate click on the the response of your choice. Barim Lissar only has the one choice but others can have multiple options.
