Schooner ship battles

I am curious if anyone has managed to get a Ship Battle recently while in a Schooner (the fast ships with 10 sydian maximum).
I am out often with sydian but haven't had a battle in a long time. Bug or bad luck?

Yes, it's also possible to see a kraken.

I was talking ship vs ship battles. But it seems that noone has been able to attack a small ship with another small ship in a very very long time. Another "update" DE didn't bother to tell us about and hoped (?) we wouldn't notice?
