Can't... you need to be in a clan to be able to gather and can't clan till level 6. They sold or traded it to themselves.

no you dont, you only need to be in a clan in order to bring the sydian back on a ship. if your camping an island you can collect and trade to yourself, or sell from the island

nope, you're wrong on this one. Unclanned people can't see sydian spots at all, therefore, they can't plant miners, and there is nothing to collect (unless this has changed in the last week or so, Ironic made a clan after we tested it and he could not see sydian without a clan). And you can't sell sydian on AH from island, it will not let you list until you get it home.

Someone brought it home, then thought it would be a good idea to get it to a level 4 alt, and then thought it would be a good idea to list on AH.

Speaking of which, Getting people together for Maze has proven another challenge, Too Many do not have the Fang Cave done. Please all level 50+s, get your groups together ASAP and get that part done, so when the opportunity comes up for us to go on a random day, you already have the quest for the keys. Please! Had 8 people ready to go today.... but 4 didn't have Fang Cave done ">

Can't you also mine sydian on the mainland with a high enough prospector without doing Maze? Need 16k though right?

How much sydian do you get from Maze? Lol I'm trying to get Fang Cave done :P

Yes starting from 16k mastery or 7k mastery with lucky mining on (not sure about 7k one, just heard of it a while back)

If a level 4 can group, the leader of the group can just invite that player to the raid/group of clan, as level doesn't matter on ship groups.

Any level can go on the ship, but doesn't help if they can't plant a sydian miner anyway. You can't collect sydian from the islands with an unclanned alt.

That should be "or from" Maze.

And I haven't managed to get enough people to go back to Maze at the same time to try any fights, so really have No Clue what the sydian take will be when we go. Get your keys and be online tomorrow at Maze Time and I will gladly hunt you down!! ">

He simply bought Sydian and resold it; there is no issue with rule breaks here
As far as selling Sydian in auction house i believe it can go up to 4-6s/piece so 100 for 30s seems cheap and no wonder someone bought it.
