I very very highly recommend you join a clan first and see what it's all about. Far too many level 1 clans have been started recently that have failed because they don't know what they are getting into. I wish you the best of luck.

Have to echo Storm Kat, there are lots of clans and lots are struggling for members. Join a clan, show willing, be active and you will soon move up the clan hierarchy; much cheaper and better way.
