My guess is that you didn't get rep for cursing Weak because he is 4 levels below you. You can BC a lvl 5 person and leave a curse, but you'll get no rep...same thing here.

As Lance already mentioned not every single time you apply a curse rep is given out and it has been so since the beginning. After curse is applied on a player whether you'll get the reputation or not (the chance that is) depends on enemy's level. The lower the level the lower the chance to get reputation for curse you place on that player.

Also another factor is what sphere your are using in correlation with how much rep you already have. The lower the sphere you use and the higher your rep is, it is more likely you wont get rep
