necromancer orbs not giving rewards

I used a necromancer orb and got a player kill and it disappeared then used a second one after it and got a second player kill but I only received 1 reward (20 death for example). is this a bug? if it is I would like either the cost of the orbs or new orbs to replace the ones that were lost because of this bug. (it happened to me twice)

You might have been killing someone who was too many levels below you. If you're lvl 33 and you kill someone who is lvl 29-31 in the arena with a necro orb, there is a good chance that you will not get a reward due to the lvl difference.

As already mentioned by Lance Corpus the chances of getting collection piece through Necromancer orbs is much higher if you are killing players of your or higher than your level.
