Fight the defilers!

I killed a defiler for the 'fight the defilers!' quest, and got nothing from it in an arena

I killed Wamphyrii, but got nothing, what is going on? This seems like an error to me ">

I killed 7 defilers and completed the quest. But for each battle that a kill(s) occurred, I received no Adan reputation nor Essence. Swear to the Shaab gods that this happened(wtf).
