Few of your reported armor breaks are due to dying to skeletars/dragons. Equipment not breaking works similar to Duel of Truth during these 36 hours.
Edit: We're aware of issue with event ending faster than it should and are already looking into it. Day of Battle Steel will continue for next 24 hours. We're extending time of event so you would have more chance to participate in battlegrounds more without a breaking your equipment.
shudnt the equipment break not occur irrespective of any skeletars or dragons? :(

i died by the hands of players :(
my mount got damaged or my equipments :(
only once maybe because of summons!! But why should even summons in battle grounds damage my equipment? or why should my mount even get damaged?
even considering it to be similar to DoT, i dont think i get any mount equipment break when people kill me!
dont know about summons, but the ABSOLUTE is -> no damage to equipment in arenas or other battlegrounds :(
