How do you know if you've been silenced??

I haven't been able to see ANY chat besides HV for over a week.
Also, I rarely use chat except to make trades...so don't know WHY I would be silenced.
I only noticed this problem after getting BC'd. Can another player put the curse of silence on players???

P.S. Sent an email to SUPPORT last week. Never got a response after the auto-response.

NEVER MIND....!!! I figured it out. Somehow closed chat to "My Messages Only".
Got it fixed, now.
