Essence of death from Necromancer orb

Didnt know if this was a bug or not, but I'm getting essence of Death instead of Faith of the Vigilant Guard items when using the minor necromancer orbs in the arena. This has happened at least 4 times now.

As mentioned by Cheesehead , most of the time you'll get either one or another.
