Garrug only had 15sec on him

So I was killing hero mobs at ruins and after my fight I get my tracked mob for hunter rep as I have gotten hundreds of times before. I kill my tracked monster and the rewards pop up on screen along with Garuug quest however Garuug quest only has 15 sec left on the timer. I quickly kill him but his bag turns to dust. Why is Garuug showing up with only 15 sec left on timer?

He probably turned up before the tracked monster but after the fight

Ouch, bad luck on that one. Hopefully they can make it where things that trigger quests after a fight don't happen when hunter's kit fires.

Yeah he showed up after hero and before tracked but I can't see the quest pop so had no idea till it was too late. I have never had that happen before.

Once I had two quests pop at the same time, medallion and garugg, with medallion being more visible. Fortunately I noticed Garugg off to the side but I almost missed it.

Others already explained the situation showed up before tracked monster so most of time was used to kill tracked monster.
