This is one of the "search and find" type quest....have to search the captain's quarters on the black moray - and instance event.
I can NOT find the chest...and have been thorough I think....however, it occurred to me: that in a earlier quest in the quest chain I received a low level earring as a reward....(Don't remember the name of the earring)...but as I am level 64 - like many low level gear rewards I sold it back to the game.

I seem to recall the name of the earring was something like "earring of perception" or some such...and am now wondering if you have to wear/equip this earring in order to be able to find the chest....if so - it is now impossible for me to complete the story-line/quest chain.

I would like some help on this thing if possible....anyone?">
