Tunnels that lead into the depths of the Tagol Mountains were carved centuries ago by Humans, Minotons and Dedaires that had been sentenced to slave labor. Mining in this area was always considered dangerous due to frequent earthquakes and landslides, so there were hardly any volunteers who would dare venture into the mines, especially since they would have to work side-by-side with criminals. But even criminals were exempted from the most hazardous operations – skrag slaves were used instead.

Main tunnels led to countless drifts, full of gems, ore, and coal. But as the years passed, treasures of the deep grew thin and most of the slaves were transferred into Kmeer Mountains. However, the Mines of Tagol are not fully abandoned. The lower levels still hold ore deposits and small groups of skrag slaves continue their hard work.

Skrags aren't the only creatures that can be encountered beneath the mountains. There are also adventurers who dare to delve beneath the dark arches of the tunnels in search of treasures and artifacts. One of them, Daron Lars, can be often encountered near the mine entrance. Lars is always happy to offer a valuable mineral or a piece of rare ore to passing travelers.
