Different in magic upgrade requirements

So I just got to Level 10, and so I wan to upgrade my magics. And SOOO I found out I NEED over HUNDRED Spark of Inception to upgrade Chaos and Water magic, while Earth only need 7!

I have no idea what's with it? It doesn't provide anything much better than Earth spell. So why is Earth spell get so cheap discount like that?!? ">

earth is your main spell for witcher :) therefore cheaper to level up
